Personification In What We Use

In the song 96 Bonnie And Clyde 2pac personifies his gun as his girlfriend.
In the song Loose yourself, Eminem uses personfication when he says, "the soul is escaping through this hole that is gaping".

The Sun Just Had a Nasty DayThe sun just had a nasty day,
refused to smile or shine.
It stayed behind the dark gray clouds,
a mottled, grim design.
But shortly after dinner time
one ray poked though the gray,
a spark of golden yellow warmth
reminding us of day.

If you want to please us, Sun,
(don't take this as a warning)
if you're going to pierce the clouds,
please do it in the morning

If dogs could talkIf dogs could talk, what they would say

Or: Pass a bit of roast beef, please.
When dawning sun shines in the east
they'd say: It's time for morning's feast.
When silent, still and somewhat broodish,
their minds are simply on your food dish.

Some might speak with British accent,
sniffing one another's back scent.
Some might lisp and some might stammer,
some would have atrocious grammar.
Some would chitchat, some would twaddle.
Some would rush and some would dawdle.
Curling on your soft bed nightly,
most would say: Good night,
politely.

Personification in Lodged by Robert Frost

1. The rain, the wind and the flowers cant do the same things humans can do.
2. It brings the poem to life and it makes it more intersting because it actually makes you think and analyze.
3. If the rain and the wind and the flowers were real people they would describe the event thats occuring as natural elements that are needed in the world, for example the flower needs water to survive.
4. The flower will describe herself soaked in wet because of the rain drops pouring.
5. The speaker empathizes with the flowers because he knows how the flowers felt.

Graffiti is like a decoration of colorful letters.
Graffiti is like the creativity coming out my hands.
Graffiti is like vandalism to some, but to others its a piece of artistic wonderful art.

1.Poetry are words in a stanza. It includes metaphors and simile's to describe the moral of the poem.
2. People that don't know about poetry might disagree with my opinion on what poetry is.
3. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme because there are several ways it could be written.
4. Poetry has to make sense because if doesn't then there would be no point in trying to read the poem.
5. Poetry can cause many feelings such as sadness, anger, inspiration, and disappointment based on the type of poetry.

Vocab
Trusted- When people need someone to talk to they can come to me and have the confidence to talk to me about anything.
Honest- I like to speak with the truth because when you lie about something it just leads to another lie and so on.
Mexican- I am a Mexican female. Mexicans are sometimes discriminated and called many stereo-types. But all that we go through just makes us stronger.
Prideful- I have a high inordinate opinion of my dignity. I am too proud, I have to admit that I don’t like to be wrong.
Mysterious- I am like a mystery trying to be discovered / I tell secrets not comments.
Distracted- I get distracted very quick and often especially in school. For example when I’m trying to do class work sometimes I get distracted and I start drawing or doodling.
Impatience- I don’t have patience for almost anything. I get desperate right away, for example when I’m in class I hate being in my seat for a long time, I like to move around.
Thoughtful- I think about a lot of things and have a lot of thoughts throughout the day. Sometimes when I’m in class I wonder off. It’s as if I’m there but not really.
Caring- I care about others for example my family and friends. I care about certain people even though they might not care about me.
Creative- I can create many things, specially since I’m thoughtful… I always think about how certain things would look if you add something to it or take something away from it. For example with graffiti you have to create detailed letters and I’ve been told that I’m very good at that.
